What is an Immutable Audit Log and Why Your Fabric QC Needs It

In the digital age, a PDF report or an Excel sheet is easy to fake. You can edit a number, change a date, or swap a photo in seconds. This lack of security destroys trust in supply chains.

What does Immutable mean?

In tech terms, "Immutable" means "cannot be changed." Once SigmaTag records a quality check, the data is locked. We use cryptographic hashing (similar to blockchain principles) to ensure that the photos and data you see today are exactly the same as the moment they were captured.

The Architecture of Trust

When a checker takes a photo of the fabric weave using our app, we record:

  • The Image: High-resolution macro photography.
  • The Metadata: Exact GPS location and Timestamp.
  • The User: The Verified ID of the inspector.

This creates an Audit Log that buyers can trust 100%, removing the need for costly third-party re-verification.
